AO DLX Girl: NSW Always On FreePak

AO DLX Girl, originally uploaded by Ritaflo.

Hipstamatic just introduced a new FreePak only available for the month of June. From the Hipstamatic website:

“Nike has partnered with photographer Chris Hornbecker and Apple’s iPhone App of the Year, Hipstamatic. Together they have created a beautiful HipstaPak which includes a set of black and white film that will be available throughout the month of June. Free to all Hipstamatic users, it’s time to tell your story.”

I think I like the black border better so far, but I will be taking more test shots to see which film works best with each lens.

  1. Prefer the black border? I’m turned off by the not-so-subtle advertising Nike is doing on the border of that film.

Nike is free to advertise where ever they want, except for on the borders of my photos.

I didn’t really notice the Nike advertising on the border, it seems to be cut off on the blog post pictures, but I can see your point. Does it take away from the image and how the viewer sees it, as a piece of art or advertising? That’s a good topic for another blog post.

Yeah, I pretty much see it as advertising. Nike likes to plaster their swooshes everywhere – and I think I’ll draw the line at my personal photos.
