Wordless Wednesday – Hold me closer, tiny dancer

Degas dancer revisited, originally uploaded by Ritaflo.

Hipstamatic iPhoneography of a reproduction of Degas’ Dancer that resides in our room. I always think of the Elton John song when I look at it.

I was so happy to be featured on Mycoffeeface.com Tuesday Artist Edition on March 23.   You can also see me on their listing of artists on Twitter here.  If you’d like to see the full Lava Lamp painting behind me it can be found in my Painting section of this blog.

iPhone AppSmash Artwork – Using addLib, Toonpaint and Hipstamatic to Create Digital Collages

I’ve written about how much I love the Hipstamatic and addLib iphone apps before, but now I’ve discovered that I can use several apps (appsmashing) to get totally unique effects on my digital collages. Julia Kay’s Portrait Party – Anne Watkins NYC

Anne Watkins NYC, originally uploaded by Ritaflo.

I recently joined Julia Kay’s Portrait Party on Flickr.  I’m having lot’s of fun creating portraits of the other members as well as seeing other artist’s interpretation of my photo.  I’ve created a gallery on Flickr called “Me, Myself and I” with my portraits here.

In love with Hipstamatic

I am loving the photos that I get using the Hipstamatic iPhone app. Depending on what “lens” and “film” you use you can achieve various different looks. The photos have a very painterly look to them. I’ve started using the photos as the basis for some of my Fingerpaintings, modifying them with the Brushes app.
